Service Technician

Work Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm. Saturdays as needed

Core Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Perform initial checkout and startup of industrial test stands and dynamometers
  • Perform functional checkout and performance verification of equipment
  • Troubleshoot electro-mechanical, instrumentation and data acquisition systems
  • Perform equipment calibration to ISO17025 standards
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Modify or update existing equipment in the field
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics
  • Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work safely and use all available safety equipment
  • Local and International Travel is required (approx. 20%)


  • Minimum 2-year degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics or related
  • 2 years of experience in commissioning and repairing complex machine control systems
  • Functional knowledge of electrical and electronic principals
  • Fundamental knowledge of relay logic, PLC control, various feedback sensors and transducers, AC and DC motor and drive controllers, pneumatic and hydraulic components, closed loop PID controls, various electro-mechanical devices
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills with an emphasis on root cause analysis
  • Moderate level of soldering and de-soldering skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, familiar with Windows 7
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with writing or de-bugging existing software script style languages a plus
  • Must have valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

  • Position is located in a manufacturing facility environment, and will involve hands-on work with tools and testing equipment.  Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity
