Engineering Intern/Co-Op

We are looking for an Engineering Intern/Co-Op to work at our Vehicle Testing/Proving Grounds center located in Wittmann, Arizona. As a paid intern/co-op, you will be able to apply coursework concepts to real-world situations working alongside professional, experienced colleagues while also gaining valuable experience working for a global manufacturing and engineering company.

The qualified applicant will become part of the Engineering team and will work in various engineering functions where he/she will interact with our Engineers, Test Technicians and a variety of support staff.

An intern/ co-op position with LINK is a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm. It will be an experience that puts you front and center, allowing you to be hands-on and contributing your creative energy on high-impact projects.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following

  • Daily test data processing
  • Review test results and provide engineering reports that meet customer specifications
  • Setup test jobs in the required internal systems and close them when completed
  • Use a Windows based computer system to access information, enter measurement data, store and retrieve files from the network, etc.
  • Assist with special projects as required

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or related field, with sophomore status or greater
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer based file structures
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to work well in a team environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Position is located in test facility environment, and may involve hands-on work with tools and testing equipment.  Physical activity may include lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
