Associate Test Engineer

We are looking for an Associate Test Engineer who will be an integral part of our engineering team by providing engineering disciplines, techniques and best practices. The person in this role will report to the Engineering Manager.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating customer jobs.
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external customers with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the test engineering field.
  • Implement new instrumentation and brake dynamometer testing practices. 
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of current instrumentation and brake dynamometer testing practices to ensure that Link Commercial Vehicle Testing is competitive
  • Assist in sales/marketing activities through interaction with current customers
  • Adherence to the LINK Management System
  • Brake Dynamometer test project management and implementation
  • Perform and design test specifications using proper engineering techniques
  • Implement proper test controls to enhance the output quality
  • Perform customer consultation activities that will promote new jobs and repeat customers
  • Analyze test results and provide engineering reports that meet customer specifications
  • Study new methods and industry developments for the purpose of instituting improvements in testing procedures


  • Exceptional organizational, leadership and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Degree in an engineering/technical field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Proven technical knowledge of vehicle and/or brake dynamometer testing
  • Proven team leadership experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Position is located in a mixed office and manufacturing environment, and may involve physical activity such as bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and sitting for long periods of time.
