Quality Inspector

We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector who will inspect all manufactured parts for correctness and completeness.

Core Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Inspect all parts using precision tools including (Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Calipers)
  • Report any non-conformance to supervisor
  • Make recommendations on how to resolve non-conformance
  • Tag parts that have been inspected
  • Forward correct and complete parts to storage location
  • Work safely and use all available safety equipment

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years trade school certification or equivalent of 3 years of related field experience
  • At least 1 year of experience using precision tools, micrometers, height gauges, and calipers
  • At least 1 year of experience in metrology print interpretation, understanding of geometric dimensions and interpreting tolerance.
  • Proficiency with bench-work tasks
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints
  • Good understanding of dimensional tolerance
  • Effective writing and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of shop mathematics

Preferred:

  • Faro Arm CMM knowledge
  • Experience running mill and lathe
  • Experience lifting and rigging with crane

Physical Requirements:

  • Position is located in a manufacturing environment, and will involve hands-on work with tools and testing equipment.  Physical activity will include lifting (up to 75lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
