Machine Builder - Day Shift

Day Shift: 7:00am-5:00/6:00pm - Saturdays as needed

Primary Function: Precision assembly of standard and manufactured parts into unique sub-assemblies or bench/floor erection of a complete unit. This position reports to the Mechanical Assembly Supervisor.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Works/builds on unique custom designed machine product
  • Apply knowledge of hydraulic and machine tool operations
  • Fit and adjust to close tolerance
  • Report any non-conformance or process change to the supervisor

Materials, Tools, and Equipment used:

  • Crane
  • Hi-Low
  • Man Lift
  • Miscellaneous Hand Tools
  • Precision Level
  • Precision Indicator
  • Basic tool room equipment (drill press, lathe, mill)

Minimum requirements:

  • Five (5) years in related experience in mechanical assembly, manufacture, or repair (preferred)
  • Able to read and follow blue prints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical devices
  • Knowledge of shop mathematics
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Position is located in a manufacturing environment, and will involve hands-on work with tools and testing equipment. Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
