Burner/Fabricator

Primary Function: Support fabrication department through several facets of operations, including burning, welding, fabrication, and shear machine.

Responsibilities:

  • Load plates in burning machine
  • Burn shapes to computer program
  • Monitor burning process
  • Restock plate materials
  • Dispose of unusable drops
  • Grind flash and scale
  • Set-up torches for different plate thickness
  • Maintain and manage department material inventory
  • Read blueprints

Tools Used:

  • High-lo
  • Forklift
  • Burning equipment
  • Hydraulic shear machine

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-years of experience operating N/C controlled gantry style flame cutting machine
  • Must have own tools

Preferred:

  • 3-years of experience welding and fabricating
  • Knowledge of Burny 2.5 software

Physical Requirements:

Position is located in a manufacturing environment, and will involve hands-on work with tools and equipment. Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.

Relocation services not provided.
