Machine Tool Electrician- Morning Shift

Currently we are looking for a contract Machine Tool Electrician for our manufacturing team located in Plymouth, MI. The successful candidate will be assigned to LINK while being on the payroll of our preferred contingent staffing supplier. 

Morning Shift: 6:30am-4:00pm

Primary Function:  Precision electrical assembly/wiring of standard and manufactured Link Equipment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Works/builds on unique custom designed machine product
  • Apply knowledge of machine tool wiring (Dynamometers)
  • Fit and adjust to close tolerance
  • Maintain cleanliness of assemblies
  • Report any non-conformance or process change to their supervisor
  • Follow safety guidelines
  • Work safely and use all available safety equipment
  • While performing this job, the employee is required to effectively use the equipment listed under the “Materials, Tools, and Equipment requirements used”
  • Conduit both ridged and EMT bending skills
  • Ability to follow wiring schematics
  • Machine installation at customer sites

Materials, Tools and Equipment requirements:

  • Miscellaneous Hand Tools (Drill motors, sawzalls)
  • Basic tool room equipment (drill press, conduit threader/bender)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Journeyman’s electrical license (preferred)
  • Associates Degree in electrical or equivalent
  • Knowledge of NFPA 79 or 60204
  • Knowledge of various wires including control, high power, and instrumentation
  • Able to read and follow blue prints
  • 120V/480V 3-phase wiring experience
  • Previous Lockout/Tagout experience

Physical Requirements:

Position is located in a manufacturing environment, and will involve hands-on work with tools.  Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
